The Skids return to Leeds — post-punk pioneers go back to their roots for a riotous, cathartic gig.
If you were there first time around, this is the Skids reunion you've been waiting for. Richard Jobson and co. are back to take Leeds Beckett Students Union by storm, delivering a furious blast of their seminal post-punk sound. Expect a night of blistering energy, scything guitars, and Jobson's defiant howl echoing around the union's concrete corridors. For the uninitiated, it's a chance to discover one of the most electrifying live acts of the 80s — and for the faithful, it's a homecoming you won't want to miss. Doors are at 7pm, so get down early to the union just off Woodhouse Lane and grab a pint before the mayhem begins. Tickets are a very reasonable £32.50.
