Twenty years on and the Fratellis still have the power to get a crowd bouncing like they just chugged a crate of Buckfast. Returning to the scene of countless sweaty indie disco nights, the boys from Glasgow will be taking over Newcastle's NX for a career-spanning set that'll have the whole room singing along to 'Chelsea Dagger' like their lives depend on it. Sure, the Libs and Kaisers may get the media love these days, but The Fratellis have never lost that magic ability to transform a grimy basement into an ecstatic indie playground. With the nearest metro stop at Central Station just a stone's throw away, and tickets a very reasonable £35, there's no excuse not to be there lost in a sea of flailing limbs when the opening chords of 'Henrietta' kick in. Just make sure you get there early to secure a spot near the bar - you're gonna need those pint-fuelled singalongs to get you through the night.
